Local Community Leaders Confront Youth Violence In November, Bedford Courts organized the Crown Heights Youth Against Violence Conference at The Brooklyn Children’s Museum. The discussion was led by community youth, local leaders and anti-violence professionals who work to raise awareness about positive ways to prevent violence in schools and neighborhoods. Bedford Courts understands the tremendous opportunity we have been given to provide a meaningful and positive impact in the lives of the youth in Crown Heights. By working with the local community we believe the recreational facility can be a place which echoes the cultural values of Crown Heights through sports, education and recreational programs.

Our First Newsletter!

Welcome to the first edition of our newsletter on revitalizing the Bedford-Union Armory and providing new recreational and community facilities, affordable housing and affordable office space. This newsletter is available to all Crown Heights residents and our mission is to gain additional community feedback and keep you informed on upcoming public meetings and important status updates regarding the project.

Each newsletter will include details on what to expect at the new Armory and how you can stay involved in making it a success for all Crown Heights families. Additionally, we will provide information for potential commercial tenants and contracting opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses (MWBEs) as part of our ongoing commitment to promote MWBEs throughout all phases of development.
